Our latest Prayer Letter

Dear Pastors and Praying Friends,
What a month this last one has been. We have seen God do so many great things. The graduation of the Bible College was held the first few days of December. We had a graduating class of 12. One of our students was already pastoring, one of the students is already working in Ecuador and there are many others that are searching out exactly where God wants them to be. This ministry is so important and I am excited to be able to play a small part in the lives of young men and women that want to be used of God in such an amazing way. We are already looking forward to March when we will be starting the next semester. We are looking forward to being able to train men to do what God has called them to do. Please continue to pray for some much needed support at the Bible College. This ministry is vital to absolutely everything that we do!
Omega Baptist Church is doing great and we are excited to be starting a new church. We have been through many difficult times in the last year but, because of those times, the Lord allowed us to start this church. It is amazing watching the people start to mesh together and start to work and become a team that is committed to seeing souls come to him and to become totally devoted followers of Christ. Please keep the church in your prayers. We are still short on the start up fund and have been borrowing equipment from the college for the church to keep going. Pray that the funds would be provided to finally get our own stuff and start working on everything going forward. We need another $5000 to get the chairs, the sound system etc. Please make this an issue of prayer. If you would like to help with this need, please send a check to me through Macedonia World Baptist Missions and mark it at the bottom for Omega.
I will be returning to the states on the 9th of February and will be there until the 1st of March. If you would like me to come by your church and share with you all that God is doing, please let us know. We still have a few open dates. We will be sharing what God is doing here as well as trying to raise some support. It is amazing how God has provided for us in the middle of major economic problems, God is always faithful. We have spoken to many friends who have had to leave the field. God has allowed us to stay here and only because of the faithfulness of your giving and praying for the mission work here. Thanks for all you do and may God continue to bless you in amazing ways.
Yours for Souls,
Chris, Andria, Jacob, Hannah and Andrew

Ladies conference

Well we are in the middle of having a ladies conference now. God has blessed and the ladies have really enjoyed it. I will share some more about that tomorrow. One of the things that happened was that they had asked Suhjey to teach on dealing with a life of trials.
She actually showed up to teach the class and taught about the need to realize that God grows us through problems etc. From what I hear it was a great lesson. I have not seen many people with the christian character that I have seen in their lives while going through problems.
Suhjey actually wanted to sing Great is thy Faithfulness in the funeral for her daughter but could not do it. I thank God for the privilege of working along side men and women like Wilber and Suhjey. Pray for them during this time because it is difficult no matter what but at the same time I am so privileged to work with these guys.
Please continue to pray for us that God would use their lives and that he would continue to give them a peace that passes all understanding.

Saying goodbye to Pamela

Well yesterday was a very hard day. We buried Pamela Hallasi, she was right under 6 months old and died from a heart attack because of complications from pneumonia. It was definitely the hardest funeral I have ever had to be at. The parents are godly christians but still saying goodbye to your child is not an easy thing.
I wanted to thank you for giving to help this family during this time. We have all the money needed now, so if you were planning on giving, we appreciate it but have received what we needed. We raised right at $800 once the fees that the institutions charge you is taken out. God has been so good to us. Now if you said you were going to send but haven’t yet please send in because I am counting on that money as well. Thanks for all you do to help. The rest of the money that was needed was provided by family members and different churches here in the area. Thanks so much for your willingness to give.
I will probably write at least one more post about Wilber and Suhjey then will be moving on to other things. God bless you in all that you do.

Pamela passed away.

Please be in prayer for the Hallasi family. Their daughter (Pamela) just passed away. We know that there will be a reunion day one day. Please pray for the family. Wilber and Suhjey have been faithful and have been used of God in amazing ways. Please pray that God will allow us to love them and minister to them in amazing ways during the next few weeks. If you would like to help with the funeral expenses that would be great. Thanks for all you do.

Suhjey Hallasi’s daughter Pamela has been told …

Well, this has to be one of the saddest blogs I have had to write. I just got a call from Wilber, he told me that his 6 month old daughter has stopped responding to the treatments that the doctors have been giving her. Suhjey almost died due to pneumonia while pregnant and God worked a miracle. At the hospital they called her Lazarus because there was no hope for her and she made it.
I would like to ask you to pray for Wilber and Suhjey that God would give them peace that passes all understanding. I cannot even understand what the family must be going through. I would like to ask you to pray about helping out with the expenses of the funeral. I honestly have no way to help them and I know that all of their money is gone now because of trying to fight off pneumonia for Suhjey as well as for Pamela. The funeral will cost somewhere around $1500. Please pray that the Lord would provide that for this dear pastor and his wife. I have attached some pictures so that you can see Pamela.
Wilber called me and thru tears explained to me how he knew that God gives and God takes away. He is an amazing man of God and has stood through very hard times. Please keep them in your prayers. Here are some pictures.
